Unless otherwise stated for specific content and/or functionality, our site is made available free of charge.

We do not guarantee that our site, or any content or functionality on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of our site without notice. We will not be liable to you if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to have access to our site.

You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your internet connection and/or on your behalf, are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

User accounts & passwords

Our site provides user accounts as follows:

    • Accounts for venue / attraction owners who are members of Monty’s Guide and have their venue / event / attraction / shop listed on our site (“Owners”);

The use of an Owner account is also subject to our membership terms and conditions, which will prevail over these terms of use in the event of any conflict.

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party. Where applicable, if you use a social media login function, you must keep your social media account details confidential and must not allow any third party to access or use your social media account.

We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your log in details, please use the website to reset your password.  If you have any problems, please notify us at and provide any relevant details.

How we contact users
From time to time we may contact users by email, phone, via direct mail or though electronic mediums including but not limited to social media to provide information about using Monty’s Guide, updates to the platform and other supporting topics that are designed to help support users of Monty’s Guide.  Users are able to request that we do no communicate with them via such means by either selecting to opt out of email communication (this option is provided within each email sent to users, with the exception of 1:1 correspondence between Monty’s Guide and users), or by contacting us at

We may update our site from time to time, and may change the content at any time. However, please note that any of the content on our site may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update it.

We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will be free from errors or omissions.

Intellectual property rights

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it.  Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of page(s) on our site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others to content posted on our site.

You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.

Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up-to-date.

In particular, we are not responsible for any information provided by Owners, whether on this site, via another medium, or in communications with you. We are not party to and cannot be held liable for any dealings between Visitors, Owners, and/or other users or third parties.

Uploading content to our site

Our site may enable you to upload, submit to us and/or share text, images, photographs, data, weblinks, opinions, and/or other materials (Content).

Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload or submit Content, you must comply with our acceptable use & content standards (see section below).

You warrant that any contribution does comply with those standards, and you will be liable to us and indemnify us for any breach of that warranty. This means you will be responsible for any loss or damage we suffer as a result of your breach of warranty.

Any Content you upload to our site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You retain all of your ownership rights in your Content, but you are required to grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide licence (including the right to sub-licence) to use, store, copy, modify and adapt that Content and to distribute and make it available to third parties via any medium.

You warrant and represent that we also have the right to disclose your identity to any third party who you ask us to contact on your behalf or who is claiming that any Content posted or uploaded by you constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights, or of their right to privacy.

We will not be responsible, or liable to any third party, for the Content or accuracy of any Content posted by you or any other user of our site.

We have the right to remove any posting you make on our site for any reason whatsoever including if, in our opinion, your post does not comply with the acceptable use & content standards set out below.

The views expressed by other users on our site do not represent our views or values.

Memberships, Payment and Fees

Monty’s Guide offers enhanced Services for a fee (“Paid Membership Account”). The Paid Membership Account provides you with extra features for a fee (the “Paid Membership Account Fees”) at the current rates as described on the Join Monty’s Guide page of our website, located at and within your account.

The Paid Membership Account forms set out the key criteria for each type of membership available and you will only be entitled to the services specified for your category of membership. By filling out a particular form you warrant that you meet the criteria specified. We may contact you at any time to verify any information that you have submitted either by email or telephone and reserve the right not to process any membership application at our sole discretion.

You agree to provide true, accurate and complete information as prompted by the Paid Membership Account registration form and all forms you access on the Site, and to update this information to maintain its truthfulness, accuracy and completeness. To create a Paid Membership Account, the member must be a company or legal entity in the United Kingdom and you must have the authority to create the Paid Membership Account registration on behalf of the company or legal entity.

When you purchase a Paid membership Account (subscription) or upgrade an existing Free Listing Account into a Paid Membership Account, you agree to the conditions thereafter. The Paid Membership Account will become effective as soon as we receive full payment of the Paid Membership Account Fees. A Paid Membership Account is only accessible for a minimum subscription period of 12 months and you will be billed on a yearly basis, unless otherwise stated.

Monty’s Guide membership will automatically renew at the end of each term for a further term of 12 months unless you cancel your subscription via the Members Area located at sending a written notice of cancellation e-mail to at least 30 days prior to the end of the relevant term.

An upgrade from a Free Listing Account into a Paid Membership Account will end your free listing. You will be billed for your first year immediately upon upgrading. The Service is billed in advance on a yearly basis and is non-refundable. There will be no refunds or credits for partial membership, upgrade / downgrade of paid memberships, or refunds for months unused within an annual Paid Membership Account.

Should you choose to become a subscriber to any portion of the Site that requires a membership, you agree to pay the membership fees and any other charges incurred in connection with the membership or service you may decide to purchase while using the Site. These fees (including any applicable taxes) will be accepted by you at the time of purchase, at rates clearly posted and in effect when the charges were incurred.

Should you choose to purchase additional services to enhance the visibility of your listing on, payment is taken in full, in advance, for the defined period of the service.

All memberships and ancillary services (such as enhanced promotions) are non-transferrable. Each membership or ancillary service is uniquely assigned to an individual listing.

Monty’s Guide Ltd reserves the right to change Paid Membership Account fees, service fees, processing fees or any other fee that may be charged by Monty’s Guide Ltd at any time, at the sole discretion of Monty’s Guide Ltd and upon reasonable notice posted in advance on the Site.

You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the information You hold for Your Paid Membership Account, including Your password and username. You agree to notify Monty’s Guide Ltd immediately of any unauthorised use of Your Account or password, or any other breach of security. You may be held liable for losses incurred by Monty’s Guide Ltd or any other user of or visitor to the Site due to someone else using Your Account, password or username as a result of Your failing to keep Your Account information secure and confidential. Monty’s Guide Ltd cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from Your failure to comply with these obligations.

You agree that you will not allow any third party who is not authorised to do so to use your Account at any time, intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information from the Site. You agree to notify Monty’s Guide Ltd immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or password, or any other breach of security. You may be held liable for losses incurred by Monty’s Guide Ltd or any other user of or visitor to the Site due to someone else using your user ID, password or account as a result of your failing to keep your account information secure and confidential.

Please note that without prejudice to any of our other rights (whether at law or otherwise) Monty’s Guide Ltd reserves the right to restrict, suspend or terminate your membership without reference to you or disallow your access to our website should we believe (in our discretion) that you are in breach of any of these terms and conditions, or due to failure to pay applicable fees. Monty’s Guide Ltd reserves the right to cancel your registration to the site and/or refuse you access to restricted areas immediately and without giving you any advance notice. Monty’s Guide Ltd shall not be liable for any losses or damages whatsoever arising from your inability to access any pages on the site.

By purchasing a yearly membership subscription, you are expressly agreeing that Monty’s Guide Ltd is authorised to charge you a recurring subscription fee on a yearly basis as set forth in the Invoice, and any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the Services, including any applicable taxes, to the payment method provided. The subscription fee will be billed at the beginning of your subscription and each year thereafter unless and until you cancel your subscription via the Members Area located at or sending a written notice of cancellation e-mail to at least 30 days prior to the end of the relevant term. If you want to use a different payment method or if there is a change in payment method, please contact us at to update your billing information. If the payment method you use with us, such as a credit card, reaches its expiration date and you do not edit your payment method information or cancel your subscription, you authorise us to continue billing that payment method and you remain responsible for any uncollected amounts. Failure to pay in a timely manner may result in the termination of your subscription and/or application of late payment fees. Your obligation to pay fees continues until you cancel your subscription or the end of the subscription period. All applicable taxes are calculated based on the billing information you provide us at the time of purchase.

Acceptable use & Content standards

Prohibited uses

You may use our site only for lawful purposes.  You may not use our site:

    • in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
    • in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
    • for the purpose of harming or attempting to harm minors in any way;
    • to send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material which does not comply with our content standards (set out below);
    • to transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam);
    • to knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.

You also agree:

    • not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of our site in contravention of the provisions of our terms of website use;
    • not to access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt:
      • any part of our site;
      • any equipment or network on which our site is stored;
      • any software used in the provision of our site; or
      • any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party.
      • modify, reproduce, distribute, translate, create custom or derivative works, publicly display or exploit the site or the site content in any way, unless you have obtained prior written consent for this from Monty’s Guide or any other party entitled thereto or you own the rights;
      • to remove or modify any trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights notice that appears on any portion of the site or any material that is printed or copied from the site;
      • frame any portion of the site or add any portion of the site to other websites without written consent from Monty’s Guide;
      • grant yourself access to, monitor or index the site or site content, or copy it by using robots, spiders or scrapers or other automated tools or manual processes for whatever purpose;
      • to disclose information which may pose a security risk to Monty’s Guide, other users or third parties or that could be used to bypass (technical) protective measures;
      • to disclose or make accessible viruses, worms, bots, or any other (potentially) harmful computer software
      • retrieve site content or access the site to create or add content or data to a similar website;
      • to collect, store, process or disclose information from and about users of the site;
      • to reverse engineer any portion of the site;
      • take any action that imposes, or may impose, in our sole discretion, an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the technology infrastructure of Monty’s Guide or otherwise make excessive traffic demands of the site;
      • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, user accounts, networks or computer systems that are connected to the site.


Content standards

These content standards apply to any and all Content which you contribute to our site or submit to us.

You must comply with the spirit and the letter of the following standards.

Contributions must:

    • be accurate (where they state facts).
    • be genuinely held (where they state opinions).
    • comply with applicable law in the UK and in any country from which they are posted.

Contributions must not:

    • contain any material which is defamatory of any person.
    • contain any material which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory.

    • promote violence.
    • promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.

    • be likely to deceive any person.
    • be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.
    • promote any illegal activity.
    • be threatening, abuse or invade another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.
    • be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person.
    • be used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.
    • give the impression that they emanate from us, if this is not the case.


Contacting Owners and Visitors

For the avoidance of doubt, our acceptable use & content standard apply to correspondence submitted via or as a result of the use of our site, including communications between Owners, Visitors and any other site users.


Suspension and termination

We will determine, in our discretion, whether there has been a breach of our acceptable use & content standard through your use of our site.  When a breach has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate.

Failure to comply with our acceptable use & content standards constitutes a material breach of the terms of use, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:

    • immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our site.
    • immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any posting or material uploaded by you to our site.
    • issue of a warning to you.
    • legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach.
    • further legal action against you.
    • disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary.

We exclude liability for actions taken in response to breaches of our terms of use, including our acceptable use & content standards.  The responses described above are not limited, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.

Third party resources and links in our site

Where our site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources.

We may also provide information about third party products and services, as well as the opportunity to purchase such products and services. In the event that you choose to do so, you will be taken to the relevant third party’s website in order to complete your purchase. The third-party provider will have its own terms & conditions which you should read prior to using their site, or purchasing any products or services.


We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access our site. You should use your own virus protection software.

You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. We may, but shall have no obligation to, monitor the Content published on our site and remove, edit and/or block, Content or accounts posting Content that we determine in our sole discretion violates these terms of use.

If you become aware of any Content which you believe may violate these Terms, is defamatory, offensive, illegal, or invades your privacy, please contact us immediately at with details.
