Description

Stalker Castle is an ancient stronghold situated on a small islet in the middle of Loch Laich in the western Scottish Highlands.

Built in the 14th century by the MacDougall clan, the castle has a rich history of battles, sieges, and intrigue. Today, visitors can explore the castle ruins and take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and water. The castle is accessible via a small ferry or on foot during low tide, adding to the sense of adventure and mystique. Visitors can also learn about the castle's connection to the infamous Appin murder case, which inspired Robert Louis Stevenson's novel "Kidnapped."

For fans of Monty Python, Castle Stalker was the setting for the final scenes of the film!
